Horses in Competition

The horses and riders trained here are out competing, having great success and regularly coming home with ribbons.    We are very proud of them all.

Joanna and Samantha have several exciting young horses who are being carefully produced up the levels. With the young horses, Joanna and Samantha like to give them time to grow and develop and don’t rush into competing them until they are ready. The girls are always looking to expand and develop their strings of rides, if you have a horse that might be of interest to them, do contact us here at TVS.

GERARDO. Gerardo, born in 2011 and known on the yard as Storm, is owned by Carolyn Smith, who bought him as a 4 year old for Samantha to train and compete. At 5 he was diagnosed with kissing spine and ulcers and, after a successful operation, spent a lot of time with Samantha gently building up strength in his back. He is now training towards Grand Prix and has competed up to PSG with 70%+ scores, as well as qualifying for the National Championships twice at medium level.

SIMBA

2011 Gelding, owned by Susan Armstrong. Simba came to us from Germany in January 2019, having been tried out in Hannover by Diane and Joanna, who instantly fell in love with his loose, flowing paces.
