Diabos final resting place.
Today we planted a tree and placed our dear Diabos ashes underneath. He will always be with us and has a lasting memoriam growing in the middle of his private lawn in the stable yard watched over by all the horses.

Joanna enjoyed a lovely Sunday riding the beautiful Decree, aka Tinkerbell, owned by Angela Collins and Clare Randal. They won the Junior Team Test and the Advanced Medium 85 at the Under 21s Winter Show at Bury farm, gaining loads of prizes for Tinks to enjoy! They would like to say a huge thank you to Clare and Angela for letting Joanna enjoy their fabulous mare!
Lauren took Cole to Addington today and managed two super double clears and a 7th place in a field of 57. This means they now have their qualification for the British Novice and Discovery second rounds. Read the rest of this entry »
We have some very sad news.
Our beautiful Diabo was peacefully put to sleep this afternoon. He made it to the grand old age of 28, but his legs could no longer keep up with him.
We first met Diabo when he was a wild five-year-old stallion in Portugal. His utter beauty and immense presence captured us instantly and we fell in love with him, so we went about bringing him back to Turville to start his training. It was evident right from the start that he was something special. The most intelligent of horses, he learnt everything so quickly and his movements were breath taking. As he performed, he appeared to float with grandeur and effortlessness that proved to be unmatchable not only to the innocent eye, but also in competition.
Samantha may be on telly on Sunday evening.
Countryfile, BBC 1 at 6pm is covering Gloucestershire and filmed on Carl Hesters yard. Samantha was busy working on the yard so you may catch a glimpse…. a good bit of TV anyway
